EBT and Walkfare

  1. Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT)
    1. Another taxpaying, inflationary program that fails to fulfill its stated goals is the EBT.
    2. If one lives within the world of the EBT beneficiaries, one will find recipients who frequent convenience stores where they receive fifty cents cash for non-existent dollar purchases.
    3. A monthly dole of $300 is $150 cash.
    4. Of course, the children, for whom the EBT was established, receive not only less food but less nutritional food--sugary and fat food.
    5. One solution is integrating Timism Disaster Prep Food distribution into basic food delivery on a regular basis. Actual food distribution was once the case before food lobbyists paid habitual politcians to create poverty currency in the form of plastic EBT cards.
  2. Workfare or Walkfare to replace Welfare
    1. Workfare is a reoccuring campaign speech of politicians. This is a bad idea for taxpayers as it requires another public bureaucacy that is staffed by a campaign workers.
    2. Walkfare is a better idea. EBT recipients are required, like postal letter carriers, to walk route that includes electronic credit card readers in which the recipient inserts the EBT card. Insertion deposits a small amount on the EBT card. Besides the low cost, it will increase the health as walking is one of the healthiest exercises.
