Consider the time behind inflation. A family of four with a $50,000 income will annually suffer about $1,500 for a 3.5% inflation rate. Given a $50k income is $25/hour in a 2,000 workhour year, the $1,500 inflation cost is 60 hours of time cheapened and destroyed by inflation. This 3.5% inflation means

you have 60 workhours less of goods and services, or,
you have to work 60 workhours more for last year's goods and services.

The main cause of increased inflation is the hydrophilic closed-loop destroying the food chain:
