Of troubling titles, I am just the messenger.
A year ago, would you have imagined rivers drying up? Or, imagined a 100-foot tsunami in Tibet? Or, imagined in 1982 that increased atmospheric CO2 would cause droughts and deluges? Timism did.
The title of this essay should encourage you to live the Primary Moral Imperative of saving life on Planet Earth from Climate Hell. You need to re-focus your life routines. Otherwise, the hydrophilic closed-loop will accelrate as an Extinction Level Event:
More CO2 > more droughts > more forest fires > more CO2 > ad infinitum.
This year's weather freakout is not a Mother Nature one-and-done like the dynosaur-extinguishing Chicxulub asteroid.
As previously noted, the increase in atmospheric CO2 is not merely additive. It is a geometric increase like the area of a 12" versus 16" diameter circle. A 33% diameter increase almost doubles the area: 113 vs 201 square inches.
A historical analogy captures the increased lethality of rising CO2 levels. In 1906, the British HMS Dreadnought's 12" guns fired a 870 pound shell. A decade later, the new 16" naval gun fired a 1900 pound shell: 33% diameter increase was over 100% more explosive poundage. A pound is a pound except that more pounds of CO2 are tons of destruction. The homes, businesses and jobs lost to wildfires is less than the downwind losses from deluges and floods.
Mother Nature's destruction of physical buildings will not be the main reason for the predicted scarcity of high school graduates. The inflation and unemployment from destroying the food chain will erode the tax base for funding public education. To wit, historically,

One-fourth of Timism's 20,000 recipients are teachers. As an investment in job security and retirement, they should be donating to Timism proposals, especially 24in4, instead of to irrelevant money-squandering political parties. Long before the drought of public-financed jobs(bus drivers, utility, police, firemen, etc.), the cost of igknowance inflation will reward existential ostriches. Of course, habitual politicians will continue to be paid and protected. Globally, there are many ticking time bombs commonly known as civil wars.

Because you, dear recipient, did not become Catalysts for Democracy, you now live in world of increasing despotism fueled by the economic impact of climate change. Desperate people do illlogical, desperate actions. As was written about Germany in the 1920s, nothing fueled the acceptance of Hitler's violent inhumanity as everyday inflation, unemployment and hunger. This worsening, systemic economic rot has been a driving force in the global radical political movements. It embraces conspiracy theories and bogus claims, e.g., woke and replacement. MAGA is being replaced by a new low-information, low-vocabulary, something-for-nothing, populist movement.
Like the MAGA maggots, the SANTA sweatbees are pied pipers. They attract the faithful with saltwater solutions of band-aid reforms. Cultists hop-scotch from one emotional gut-reaction to another. They coalesce into new flash-in-the-pan political movements, e.g., Tea Party, Silent Majority, Know-nothings, White Christian Nationalists, Klu Klux Klan, etc. Their attracting, soothing salt-water solutions worsen the original problem. Blind thirsters self-medicate with hemlock.
SANTA is the appropriate acronym. Ole Saint Nick promises something-for-nothing if you are good by his standards. That includes "The truth will set you free" which is a magnet for the gullible who respect without inspecting and re-inspecting. Illiterate, illogical ill-liberals do not ask the question "Where is the beef? when they smell the sizzle of empty, fake promises. Throughout history, many SANTAs have come and gone.
Until puberty, we seek liberation from our igknowance: darkness, boogieman, and Santa Claus. Throughout history, at puberty most humans have realized and confronted their inevitable death with the local trending collections of after-life opinions, e.g., Muslims in Mid-East, Jews in Israel, Hindus in India, etc Your birth canal pre-disposes you to your mother's religion. Liberals transcend the fear of dying, embracing and accepting death as part of the gift of life.
For liberals, the truths that will set one free are in the immuntable laws of Mother Nature ... not from money ministers of all ilks. This is why one hears from ill-liberals that climate change is a hoax. Only God who created earth can destroy the earth.
Most liberals always wait for someone else to do the right thing until the last minute or the last breath, to wit,
World War II liberated Europe from ill-liberals. It was a costly example of liberals keeping silent too long. WW2 is a good analogy for the on-going accelerating, synergistic existential meltdown. Liberal ostriches will fight in a global civil or nuclear war.
With long-term inflation and 401k bogus-savings, workers lost their retirements. Trump's Day One promise of stopping inflation has proved like many MAGA promises to be Day None..
