Time Theft:
Phone wait time ... Solution
Having received an emergency text message from a healthcare provide, a callback had a 30-minute wait time. Of course, it had background music interrupted by repetitious advertisement and thanks for being a customer. Aggregated from millions of people, this is a lot of lost time. This theft of our time occurs daily because companies will not hire enough customer service representatives. This stolen time does not make for happy campers. Au contraire, the emotional reserves with which one awakens in the morning drains each time one's time is a victim of theft.
| We need a telephone app that after five minutes, it tracks the wait-time till a conversation begins. The excess wait time would be translated into the average national wages with the "wait fee" being credited to the caller from the business that does not respect consumers' time. |
Another Time theft is the hypocrisy of Google's founders whose corporate motto was "Do no evil." It is an evil waste of users' time when accessing Google. One is required to answer the same question: "Do you want to use Chrome." Once a month should be the limit on asking this advertisement, not numerous times each day. At the minimum, one's train of thought is delayed, or, worse, derailed.
We all would mentally and emotionally burnout less or later if we did not have a constant barrage of petty time thefts. AI will make it worse. Political iemail ads have legal spamming of cellphones.
Only a critical mass of humanity dedicated to the Morality of More Time will give us more time, not the habitual politicians who take money from the time thieves.
