How blind can people be? Prima facie, record heat waves while billions cheer FIFA that is the world's biggest climate cancer. It expanded from 32 to 48 teams. Millions of tons of CO2 generated by fans not for the cost of living but for the cost of lying to ourselves about what is important. Only the blind would cheer suicide.

In recent years, purchases of sports teams have been by pension thieves using workers' 401ks: Mavericks, Clippers, Seahawks, Wizards, etc.
Per the taxcode legalized by habitual politicians, if one buys a sports team, one can deduct the full team cost over 20 years as an annual 5% tax credit (not deduction).Ticket buyers pay more taxes when the rich pay less.
Using stock options fed into 401ks, a hedge fund manager paid $6 billion for the Boston Celtics in 2025. He will receive an annual tax credit of $300 million until 2045. Who pays the missing tax revenues? The muddled-class obsessed with watching sports.
With 401ks buying stock options and with higher taxes to replace the sports tax credit, workers pay twice for the sports teams.
And, workers pay a third way because hedge funds and private equity firms close down needed production for a quick, greedy gain. It is easier to kill a person than raise one to maturity. (Likewise with corporations.)
